Exclamation 24 HOURS OF BASKETBALL MAIN THREAD!!!
FOLLOW BTB'S LIVE 24 HOURS OF HOOPS BLOG BY CLICKING HERE.

Who is going to bet on every game and stay up for the duration like me? Love

Let's have a bit of fun with this. We'll have a starting "BTB Bankroll" of $500. You guys will ultimately determine the bets that are placed. Voice your opinions here in this thread and we'll go from there.

This is going to be fun. A LOT of fun. So I hope you'll stay up and participate. We'll finalize every pick 45 minutes before tip-off and I'll live blog on the site throughout the day. You can follow along with the plays and tail them blindly or, if you want to be boring, you can make your own plays.

Twenty-five percent of all wins will be donated to a YTD charity. Deadline to suggest one is 9 p.m. ET. Respond here or on Twitter.

Minimum donation: $100.

For those that actively participate throughout the day, I'll have giveaways and free parlays. Also, maybe a mystery prize or two. (Woot)

So please, I implore you. Call in sick right now. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, go to work or class tomorrow.

I want to make this a collaborative effort. Let's discuss every game and determine the play and the unit amount. We'll bet the same side on every game, finish up money and then party.

Are we going with these games or just any in the next 24 hours for our collaborative effort?

That Belmont / Memphis game is very intriguing. Perhaps the second most intriguing behind Kansas / Kentucky.

I'll be here, as it's only 10am where I am. Don't know much about college hoops though. Hopefully learn a few things and add my 2 cents every now and then.

Gonzaga needed a late surge to hold off Eastern Washington 77-69 on Friday after trailing with less than seven minutes remaining. Robert Sacre had team highs of 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who scored 11 of their final 13 points from the free-throw line.

The Cougars, who will be playing their season opener, dominated the Bulldogs 81-59 on Dec. 8, holding Gonzaga to 19-for-48 shooting and forcing 25 turnovers. That team, however, was led by Klay Thompson, who left for the NBA after averaging 21.6 points during his junior season. The Cougars return starters Reggie Moore, Marcus Capers and Abe Lodwick, but will have to replace the scoring Thompson provided.

Key reserve Faisal Aden, who scored 14 points in 21 minutes Dec. 8, also returns for a Cougars team that has lost four of five in Spokane. Gonzaga was ranked in each of those five matchups, and their four victories came by an average of 18.5 points.

Washington State, which finished 22-13 and lost to Wichita State in the NIT semifinals last season, has won three of the last five meetings overall. The Cougars will test out their new more balanced offensive approach in the debut of former Fresno State guard Mike Ladd, who transferred after 2009-10 and had to sit out last season per NCAA rules. The 6-foot-5 junior, selected as the team captain, has averaged 9.9 points in two college seasons.

Gonzaga will likely look to get Sacre off to a good start Monday. The 7-foot center went 1 for 5 and scored six points while committing five turnovers against the Cougars last season, though he did grab a game-high 10 rebounds.

Spread: Gonzaga -12 (-110)
Moneyline: +650/-860
O/U: 140 (-110)
Wash St O/U: 63.5 (-115)
Gonzaga O/U: 75.5 (-115)
1st Half Spread: Gonzaga -7 (-110)
1st Half Moneyline: +345/-415
1st Half O/U: -66 (-110)

*Feel free to adjust these numbers BTB with whatever you're using for the 'BTB Bankroll'.

RE: 24 HOURS OF BASKETBALL BEGINS TONIGHT!
Awesome idea. Can't tell you how late I plan on being around, but we'll see.

Over 140 in the midnight ET tip would be my play.

Gonzaga first half might not be a bad play. They've already got one game under their belt while it might take WSU a little time to gel.

RE: 24 HOURS OF BASKETBALL BEGINS TONIGHT!
I have Washington St as a bottom feeder(bottom 3) in the Pac-12 this year. They obviously lost a lot from last year, and their frontcourt will be at a big disadvantage against the Zags. Sacre and Harris should get a lot of easy baskets against the WSU unproven big men. I don't love laying 12, but that would be my lean

Washington St VS Gonzaga

Zags take it. After the garbage they put out against E.Washington they gotta know its time to get tough with the games they got comin up. Wash needs to replace their top scorer from last year and i just dont see it happening in their first game. Zags come out hungry, Zags win.

If were doing spreads i go with Gonzaga -12 think they win big.

RE: 24 HOURS OF BASKETBALL BEGINS TONIGHT!
Washington State does have some experience, so there's that to consider.. they also have played Gonzaga very well in the past.

If you believe in the "Revenge Factor" in College BB, then I'd lay the points with Gonzaga. If you don't believe revenge is a huge factor in college ball, then I'd consider taking the points with State.

Here's how this is going to work (as I continue to figure this out in my head). I am going to be completely, entirely objective for the purposes of the BTB Betting account. In other words, I'll essentially be the judge, hear the arguments you all provide, and then make the final call.

You can bet as you wish (obviously) or follow along.

Each pick will be made official 45 minutes before tip off.

Also, invite your friends (if you have any). Grin

RE: 24 HOURS OF BASKETBALL BEGINS TONIGHT!
Losing Castro is huge as he was Washington St's best interior defender. Guard heavy Washington State should exploit Gonzaga's inability to guard the 3-pt line.

I'd expect a very efficient Gonzaga offense who has a huge size advantage in the frontcourt. They drew a ton of fouls against Eastern Wash, and I'd expect the same thing again tonight. Both teams can play with tempo, so high efficiency and enough tempo to get this over the total.
