RE: 14 Hours of Hoops!
Tulsa (-11.5) @ Western Kentucky
Tulsa Kodi Maduka snagged a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds to lead Tulsa to a 65-49 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock in their season opener last Friday. They took the lead midway through the 1st half and pulled away in the second, leading by double digits most of the way. Tulsa finished shooting 38% from the field while the Trojans shot 28%. Steven Idlet made all 9 of his shots from the field and scored 23 points Sunday to lead Tulsa to a 67-52 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. Idlet, a 6-foot-11 SR, had one 3-pointer among his field goals and went 4/6 from the FT line. Scottie Haralson was the only other player in double figures with 10 points for the Golden Hurricane (2-0), who never trailed in the game and led 33-20 at halftime. Western Kentucky Western Kentucky's Derrick Gordon led all scorers with 25 points in a 61-72 loss to St. Joe's in their season opener at home. They shot 27% from the field and 21% from 3-Pt, although they were 21/27 (78%) from the FT line. Jamal Crook scored 13 points, including Western Kentucky's final 7 points against Tennessee State in a 52-49 win on Monday night. Crook hit his first career 3-pointer to put them ahead by three at 48-45. They shot 40% from the field and 25% from 2-Pt, but once again shot well from the line 9/12 (75%). Will Tulsa run away with this one? Will Western Kentucky shoot well enough from the FT line to cover? Find me here. |
