I'm sure he is a great handicapper and everything he is saying is true. But seriously should we all start wanting our ego stroked? It's amateur hour posting winning tickets on here and putting one word posts. You worked super hard to make this place the way all of us love it and this guy has no respect for what you put into this? Maybe I need to pull the pickle out of my ass but I just dont get this humour. Maybe if he had any class, he would have tons of books on him and a couple documentarys about him out. Man, IF you are this great handicapper that it looks like you are supposed be, keep posting, but post your thoughts. I'm sure guys want to learn from you, so your thoughts are probably really valuable. The time it took you to post winnna's and other things. you could probably throw down alot better info or thoughts for up and comer's that want to be like you. RE: WINNA'S - itg_sports - 12-18-2011 10:44 PM My take on this is that not every ticket posted is a winner. There is a Bills pick on one of those tickets and a lot of the parlays have the 49ers tied into them. However there are several winners on there that are risking 1 to pay 6.5 and we aren't talking $10 bets here. I didn't take the time to figure it up but in the picture alone there is $1800 at risk and something like $5000 won. Even if there are another 20 losers at $200 a pop that we aren't seeing we are still talking about $5000+ at risk on a Sunday. The fact that these pictures are posted Sunday after Sunday shows me that if PGF is losing consistently then he is throwing away thousands of dollars every month just to have a twitter persona. I find this unlikely. I personally want to be sharp and I have been researching constantly to get better at this but I am not doing it just to have a good record on twitter. I want to get to the point where I can confidently risk hundreds and maybe thousands on every game I play. I respect anyone that has the capacity and confidence to do so. If you followed PGF in baseball he posted plenty of baseball picks on twitter (despite his pregame affiliation) and plenty were losers. I don't think there is a fear of posting losers. We have embraced So Money Sports and he has embraced us back by helping us out at this forum. I say we embrace this too. Lets actually try to be a group that doesn't hate every opportunity we get and maybe another gambler with 2000+ followers might show up around here more often and who knows maybe even give us some insight on why he plays what he plays. Square or not the Ravens were the highest rated play I had going into this Sunday and I didn't bet it solely because of the thread in here that said "Go Chargers" and had the dancing man underneath. I'm glad I didn't. RE: WINNA'S - Beyond the Bets - 12-18-2011 10:50 PM The dancing man can be very convincing. Earlier today, I posted simply, "PANTHERS" but realized after the fact that I forgot to put the dancing man next to it. If only I had, perhaps we all would have run into each other at the window.
RE: WINNA'S - jimmysingh9 - 12-18-2011 10:54 PM ITG, I agree with most of what you said. But the difference RIGHT NOW between So Money and Phillygodfather is night and day. So Money has respected everything BTB(I understand BTB is ok with the PGF humour) has wanted to make this forum about and you can tell that he puts in his hard time and effort into every answer he has every responded to. What have you learned on this board from PGF's posts? #1 He liked the chargers for no specific reason #2 He bets parlays at Delaware Sports Park, he gets great lines there because I'm assuming the lines dont change in real-time, probably daily though. He is trying to show you that it is profitable playing parlays where the "so-called" pros say it is stupid most of the time and not profitable. #3 He dropped out of High School and has a High IQ, went to jail and got his GED and now is the greatest handicapper out there. You didnt get any sharper or more knowledgeable. If he had said, He loves the chargers in dec bc of their record, the ravens play down to their competition on the road..etc, I would totally agree with you. But nothing he posted made you any better. Could he possibly post serious info in the future? Maybe....but he hasnt. Sure the first thread should have gotten slack, but the 2nd thread was worse than the first thread. If PGF never tells you how he breaks games down, where he bets, and all the other information that goes along with his thought process, you will never be better for it. You won't get you anywhere closer to your goal. And for how many followers you have, it shouldn't matter. you should use twitter to get the best and/or latest information out there. It is one of the best information outlets out there. BTB's list are great because it gives you the best access to info out there. RE: WINNA'S - Beyond the Bets - 12-18-2011 11:08 PM Jimmy, I like you and appreciate what you bring to the forum. But dude, it's one (maybe two) threads out of 200-plus. Weekends are slow around here and always have been. He's just having a little fun. Now, I might be inclined to merge his two threads, but perhaps I'll leave that up to Parrill for moderation.

And thanks to PGF for the Chargers, was going to stay off that game but won some shekels because of the post. RE: WINNA'S - itg_sports - 12-18-2011 11:15 PM Jimmy, I totally understand where you are coming from and I get where "persona" wise So Money and PGF are totally different. I even have made a spread sheet where I track every play that So Money makes with the rating I got on that particular game. I keep nothing of the sort for PGFs plays. However, I am an observer, I consider it a strong point, and this is what I saw. A guy that obviously gambles for a living and makes large wagers said "Go Chargers". This caused me to look a little closer at what I thought was a sure play on the Baltimore Ravens. I don't feel like it is anyone's responsibility to make a detailed write up so that I can learn something. It is my responsibility to find the information that can help me make sound wagers. The only person that can make me get better at this is me. I have not made one insightful write up in this forum about one game but I assure you that the work goes into every play I make. I know we don't want a bunch of hacks and touts invading this forum but is that really what we just witnessed? Its not like a $5 bettor waltzed in and laid down his can't miss picks with a link to his blog. I mean if Billy Walters created a profile and started a thread last night that just said "Cowboys"...would we chastise him? We are a part of a gambling forum guys. At what point is it ok to say that wanting to get sharp doesn't mean that we cant have fun and we don't have to be holier than thou about every pick we make. If I slam a big parlay I want to be able to come post it here without having to post my losing tickets too and without having to do a write up about why I picked who I picked. Oh yeah.
