Miami/OKC Hedge - jimmysingh9 - 06-14-2012 06:22 PM

If you are like me and have OKC futures, there are some good opportunities to hedge before this game.

I really believe you need to take your hedge now because if Miami wins this game, the odds could swing significantly.

Now to me, there are two options. There is the straight hedge of Miami Series +235. you guarantee some profit but can only win one bet

or

you can bet Miami Heat Game 2 +205. Now if OKC wins game 2, they can stilll lose the series, so you really haven't hedged, however If Miami wins tonight, you win your bet AND you still have your futures bet going. OKC just needs to take 1 of 3 to get back home and you can probably get Miami as a dog still in Game 6 if you need to hedge.

I like option 2 because If OKC wins this game, they are coming back home regardless of what happens in Miami and they will still be undefeated in the playoffs at home and have 2 chances to win 2 games at home not counting the 3 on the road.

If Miami wins, you win your bet and you still have more options to hedge and play around with.

I am sure there are other ways and this may not be the best way, but I think I may go with it

The Heat will win this MF'ing game tonight. Or else.

This is what I'm actually thinking and wanting to just bet the game 2 and hedge later and if i lose, then I'll take my chances on hedging miami if need be in game 6

Here's a question... If you still like the Heat in this series, is it smarter to play Heat +230 for the series or just Heat +210 tonight? Dunno

RE: Miami/OKC Hedge - jimmysingh9 - 06-14-2012 07:44 PM

I think you have to play Miami to win this game tonight.

If Miami loses and you think Miami still wins the series, you are going to get a price better than +230 if OKC is up 2-0.

The Thunder are so hard to bet against because if they don't miss their jumpers, they aren't ever going to lose at home. It's not OKC got their sets going in the 4th, they just hit all their pull jumpers and I mean all of them

I have another bet. its like a soccer bet almost

Miami HT/Miami FT +445

I dont think Miami is coming back if down at half. so you can bet Miami with the lead at half and they have to hold it at +445.

Where did you find this bet?

I was thinking this would be a great NBA bet rather than soccer. Nice find.

Yeah that's a good find. I'm guessing it's at 5Dimes, jimmy? Plus it gives you great hedge/middle opportunities if Miami's is indeed up at the half.

Sorry guys, couldn't be online for the game, had to go do stuff lol.

Yeah it was at 5dimes. they have it for every major NBA game. I haven't really played it much but this game definitely fit the bill. Miami wasn't coming back down at OKC, I thought their only chance would be to get that early lead and actually hold it.

I am very curious now to see what the Series Odds are

The heat ate OKC's faces.

OKC couldn't overcome that awful first QTR.
