Euro 2012 - ChiefZilla - 05-25-2012 03:29 PM AKA the only time, along with the World Cup, where I'm intrigued enough to bet soccer. I actually love watching these events. I know there are some footie experts on here, so I want to hear what you've got. 1. Pick to win? 2. Sleeper teams? I've got the odds... TO WIN EURO 2012 Spain +240 Germany +300 Netherlands +700 England +1000 France +1000 Italy +1400 Portugal +1800 Russia +2000 Ukraine +4000 Croatia +4000 Poland +4000 Czech Republic +5000 Greece +6000 Sweden +6000 Ireland +8000 Denmark +8000 TO WIN GROUP A Russia +140 Poland +250 Czech Republic +400 Greece +400 TO WIN GROUP B Germany +105 Netherlands +175 Portugal +400 Denmark +1500 TO WIN GROUP C Spain -190 Italy +300 Croatia +700 Ireland +1400 TO WIN GROUP D England +160 France +160 Ukraine +400 Sweden +550 RE: Euro 2012 - jimmysingh9 - 05-25-2012 09:01 PM as sleeper teams with good odds. I would have to say that trio of France, Italy, Portugal. Portugal has that crazy group but could sneak a win. Italy should finish 2nd to Spain. Croatia could sneak through that group, So looking at Croatia at +4000 as well. RE: Euro 2012 - jimmysingh9 - 05-25-2012 09:02 PM alot of people seem to remember France from last world cup with all their problems, but they have had alot of turnover and alot of young players in that squad that have impressed in the last couple of matches. remember England without Rooney, so no real viable scoring threat, but England is the household name that people bet but they never win. RE: Euro 2012 - arzoman - 05-26-2012 12:49 AM Jimmy, isn't Roony only suspended for the first two games of the tourney? I agree with you that Portugal seems like a good sleeper. Also, didn't Greece win the thing a few years ago? Or was that the Olympics? RE: Euro 2012 - jimmysingh9 - 05-26-2012 08:49 AM Greece won but that is because of the same luck that Chelsea recieved in Champions League. those are once in a lifetime scenarios for clubs/teams. hard to do that over and over. Rooney is gone for two games, but they still have to get to the knockout stages without him. Portugal is alright, their group is terribly hard. you need to look at how teams can advance of their group stage and who they match up with potential in the quarters. if you can get a team over +1000 into the semis, you can do some things with it. looking at Russia and host Poland could be something. one should make quarters if not both and you need one win to get some juicy odds into semis RE: Euro 2012 - JetsMetsRangers - 05-26-2012 11:24 AM Russia is definitely going to win their group. Easy money there. RE: Euro 2012 - LewisS87 - 06-08-2012 04:16 PM I have a feeling that Russia will reach the semi final.. and it maybe can go far a way and reach final.. RE: Euro 2012 - SkyBlues42 - 06-08-2012 04:29 PM Russia just beat the most offensively-challenged team in the tournament. It was a good win, but after watching that game, I'm not that high on them to advance past the quarter-finals. They'll play either Germany or Netherlands (IMO). I don't see them beating either one in this event. RE: Euro 2012 - AlphaInsight - 06-08-2012 05:37 PM Russia played the worst team in the tournament and won, not much of an achievement.
