Who is BTB's best MLB handicapper (join anytime) - Beyond the Bets - 03-19-2012 03:47 PM
The Pick of Day contest will work as follows:
1. Make one pick per day.
2. All bets are either RISK 1 unit or to WIN 1 unit. If you bet a dog, you are risking 1 unit to win X. If you bet a favorite, you are risking X to win 1 unit.
3. You can use a line from any sportsbook at any time prior to first pitch, but must state the book and line when making your bet.
4. A monthly $50 parlay will be awarded to whoever wins the most units in each month. The first prize will be awarded on June 1st, that way people have adequate time to get signed up. Every other month's prize will be awarded on the first of the month.
5. Please update your standings beneath the next day's pick. I will have a few moles (
) who will be monitoring record keeping. If you are caught cheating, you're eliminated.Whoever is the best MLB handicapper will win a TBD grand prize at the conclusion of the contest. You'll also receive a special avatar and forum designation, as well as a post on the front page endorsing you as BTB's best baseball handicapper.
I hope all of you will participate. Also, you can sign up ANYTIME.

sounds like fun. I'm in. I agree with Hokies10 also find it to be one of the toughest sports to cap but also find that it makes a game more interesting
