PrintEach week during the college football season, a group of nine ESPN bloggers covering the ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC attempt to pick outright winners for every game involving their conference’s teams.
We’ve been tracking their selections and using their predicted final scores to determine who they’d place a theoretical bet on. Mostly, we’re interested in knowing if any of these conference “experts” are any good.
The bloggers have done well so far picking outright winners, but their stats have been padded in non-con play. Only three of them have winning against-the-spread records, led by SEC blogger Edward Aschoff, who is 31-20 ATS (60.7%).
