Week 6 point spreads for college football were released over the weekend, and we’ve provided all the updated lines (along with openers in parentheses) below.
For the second straight week, we saw very little movement. Thirty-seven of the 49 lined games either didn’t move or moved by a point or less, a stark difference from the first couple weeks when spreads routinely shifted by four to seven points.
Some games did see a little movement, though:
- Two of the bigger shifts came in the Big 12, where No. 17 Oklahoma went from -7 to -5 at undefeated and unranked Texas Tech. Also, 15th-ranked TCU moved from -13 to -11 at home against Iowa State. Bettors don’t appear to be huge believer in the Sooners or Horned Frogs.
- The only favorite to flip was UTEP, which opened as a 2-point home underdog to SMU but is currently a 2-point favorite.
- No. 4 LSU keeps slipping in the rankings with lackluster performances, and the Tigers moved from -4 to -3 at No. 10 Florida in what could be the best game of the week.
- No. 6 South Carolina opened as a 2.5-point home favorite against fifth-ranked Georgia in a game that could decide the SEC East, but the Gamecocks are currently favored by three, meaning oddsmakers think these teams are about as even as it gets.
