College Football Week 2 Spreads: Texas A&M is 2.5-point favorite in SEC debut vs. Florida

September 2, 2012

BetOnline became the first offshore sportsbook to release college football Week 2 lines, and Texas A&M opened as a 2.5-point favorite over Florida in the team’s first SEC matchup.

The Gators are coming off a narrow victory over Bowling Green, while the Aggies have yet to play a game.

A few other notable openers:

  • Kansas State opened as a 6.5-point favorite vs. Miami.
  • Pittsburgh, which lost to FCS Youngstown State on Saturday, opened as a 2-point road favorite at Cincinnati.
  • Georgia opened -3 at Missouri.

It’s worth noting that some lines have already moved considerably from the numbers posted below. For instance, Cincinnati is now a 3-point favorite; Louisiana Tech is favored over Houston (after opening plus-6); and so on.
