It was set to be released on May 27th. Then June 15th. Then July 1st. Then July 31st. Then August 5th. Then August 24th. But finally, late Monday, BTB’s first ever college football preview hit the Internet.
Could it have been better? Of course. Everything can be better.
Could we have tried harder? Probably not.
This thing was a monster. We have written daily content on the main site here every day including holidays and continued to do the same even as this college football preview—all 50,000 words of it—was being produced, written, re-written, updated, re-updated, and so on.
Phil Steele makes it look easy. We made it look difficult. But ultimately, we were committed to finishing it because a) we thought you’d find it useful; and b) we’re morons. We hope we’re right about the former and wrong about the latter.
Each preview includes an oddsmaker’s take, team-specific ATS stats (sorted by coach and team, where necessary), a schedule with projected (and actual) point spreads, and a forecast. There’s also some other cool stuff and helpful links mixed in.
We’d love to have your feedback and suggestions for improvement.
