Bovada sportsbook opened the Tigers as 6/1 favorites to win the 2013 title, slightly ahead of the New York Yankees (7/1), San Francisco Giants (10/1) and a slew of other teams at 12/1 odds.
Last year’s favorite, the Philadelphia Phillies, finished the regular season 81-81 and failed to reach the postseason.
The Houston Astros have the worst odds at 150/1 after finishing an MLB-worst 55-107. Only the Cubs, Indians, Rockies and Royals are close, as all are listed at 75/1.
