PrintLast week, we noted that the Chicago Bears are one of only a handful of teams whose over/under win total has climbed by a half win or more, as they’ve moved from 8.5 to 9 at most books.

Mike Wilkening, senior editor at Pro Football Weekly, reported Friday that Cantor Gaming has written more tickets on the Bears to win the Super Bowl than any other team. That includes the 49ers, who were previously the most popular team at other books in town.
The Bears opened at 25/1 at Cantor but are now listed at 15/1, and elsewhere, it’s clear the Bears are also drawing significant attention from both sharp and public bettors alike.
At MGM/Mirage, the Bears are priced at 8/1 to win the Super Bowl, and only four other teams—the 49ers (4/1), Patriots (6/1), Packers (6/1) and Broncos (7/1)—are listed ahead of them.
While the Bears are an intriguing pick with definite upside, the value isn’t there at 8/1.
