We’ve reached Day 54 of the NHL lockout, and the two sides don’t appear to be that much closer to an agreement than they were at the beginning.
“We’re hopeful that we’ll start bargaining and we’ll continue bargaining until we find a way to make a deal,” NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr told reporters on Tuesday before talks resumed at the bargaining table. “We certainly hope we’ll be continuing to meet on a regular basis. I hope they do, too. I’m just not making any predictions.”
No one closely involved with the dispute will make any predictions, but Bovada is willing to.
Those odds suggest about a 55 percent chance that there will be no NHL season.
Looking for a glimmer of hope?
When Bovada released those odds yesterday, “Yes” was listed at -200, which means that someoneĀ out there was naive confident enough to back their optimism with some cash.
