The Saints are staring an 0-4 start in the face as 7.5-point underdogs at Green Bay this weekend. But could the Saints—once considered a strong Super Bowl threat—possibly finish in last place in the NFC South?
Based on our projected point spreads for the rest of the 2012 NFL season (and the subsequent win odds of each point spread), well, yes.
New Orleans comes out with only 6.1 wins, so roughly a 6-10 record. That’d put them below Carolina and Tampa Bay near the bottom of the NFC South, and well behind the Falcons, who are projected to finish 11-5.
Below are our projected standings for the 2012 NFL season. These are based strictly on point spread projections and win odds, so we tried to be as objective as possible.
